Quiet KBB Summer?

In case you haven’t noticed – summer’s arrived.

You can feel it in the warmth on your skin when you sit till dusk in the garden. When you can look at the weather forecast without a sense of despondency.

Usually, those would all be seen as positives. Still, traditionally, kitchen retailers approach the summer period with a dose of foreboding.

The assumption is that it’s not a busy time for kitchen sales, that the best most businesses can hope for is to hope their way through to the autumn and come out relatively unscathed.

And maybe that’s what history has taught us.

But with all the turmoil of the last few years, all the topsy-turvy, precedent-breaking unpredictability we’ve all endured…

What’s normal these days…?!

Sure, maybe this summer will revert to type and be quieter than other seasons.

But what if it doesn’t? Will you be in a position to capitalise on it?

If we’ve learnt anything from the last few years, it’s that ‘normal’ is out the window.

Yes, that might seem scary, but it’s also full of potential. It’s exciting.

If it’s going to be ‘quiet’, as many expect, you need to work hard to get every lead and sale you can.

And if it’s not quiet, well … same answer. Are you ready to make all that you can of it?

Let’s face it - great weather is the nemesis of kitchen sales! But we know it won’t last for too long.

And when it breaks, those people who were distracted from their new kitchen by what’s appealing in their garden, will head back indoors and take their kitchen plans off pause.

There will be plenty of kitchens ordered this summer. The only question is - from who?

Some of our clients have plans for July and August, getting on the front foot and creating promotions.

Maybe a promotion is right for you, or perhaps it’s not, but the point is simple:

What you do over the next few weeks will potentially define your summer.

And what’s certain is that it’s the kitchen retailers that don’t sit on their hands who’ll have the best chance of heading into autumn with a smile on their faces.
