If you are an ambitious kitchen business owner: someone who’s putting together advertising, making sales and actively working to grow your business, then this letter is for you.
Let me explain.
It’s Likely You’re Only One ‘Big Domino’ Away
Throughout my years of working with businesses like yours, I’ve come to realise one important aspect: in EVERY business there’s usually one BIG THING to get right, that will make a massive difference and transform your business – and quite often that ‘Big Domino’ is Marketing.
Establish an effective marketing strategy … then implement it … with consistency.
It’s often that simple.
But, for most KBB retailers we talk to, they’re a million miles away from making that happen, because of all the other things they need to do in their business to keep it running and keep it turning a profit.
They’re a long way off knocking down that ‘Big Domino’, which once done, could transform their business.
Take my family’s kitchen business in New Zealand, for example. At the time my father acquired the business, it was somewhat run-down – in a good location – but was neglected. Over a decade we increased turnover eightfold.
How did we do this?
By working out when our potential audience was most receptive to a smart Kitchen message, then by dominating a few media channels in the region, with consistent branding. That was our ‘Big Domino’ which made a world of difference to the success of that business.
Some more detail on that:
Through excellent creative, we became instantly recognisable across our market. Our awareness levels rocketed.
We started making it on to our potential customers ‘mental shopping list’, often well before they were ready to start looking for a new kitchen, but certainly by the time they were ready to obtain their ‘three quotes’.
We knew how to make the sales journey a positive one for our prospects – we informed and even entertained them!
We invested in sales training. YES, sales training. We wanted to ensure we maximised the opportunity every time a quality lead came our way.
Sure enough, word-of-mouth followed - people talked about us. The Kitchen Studio became a very familiar business brand across the region.
I could go on, but you get the point.
Since then, and during my time in the UK in media and marketing, I’ve worked with countless local business operators, helping them focus on building a ‘marketing system’, to find their rhythm and momentum. That’s the reason Inspire KBB now exists.
We have tremendous experience in our business, we’re very good at what we do, and we love nothing more than helping our clients make massive progress.
