Having studied a degree International Business and Management with German at Aston Business School, I left University and started a role with Warwick Employment Group as a marketing assistant. After almost a year working in Warwick, I decided to make the move to Australia and see what life was like on the other side of the world. After a thoroughly enjoyable time, involving a mixture of working and travelling, gaining invaluable experience in both areas, I returned to the UK in April 2020 to embark on my next adventure, my career.

My marketing career started with an internship for Stanley Black & Decker in Germany and I’ve loved marketing ever since. An excellent organisation, team and attitude to learn, drove my passion to continue marketing as a career path. Whilst living in Sydney, Australia working at Royal Caribbean, my role included updating and improving a number of websites for them. Following on from my time in digital marketing in Sydney, I have chosen to continue focusing my efforts within the digital marketing space and I can’t wait to get stuck in.

I’m known for my positive attitude and ability to keep a cool head in high pressure situations.

I was first drawn to marketing from my time at University as it outlined to me the key role marketing plays within an organisation in maximising the potential of the products and services with both effective and creative communication.

I spent 4 years in the Army as a mechanic. This was an exciting opportunity for me and alongside the numerous skills I picked up, I learnt a whole lot about myself that I didn’t know before. This was an experience I thoroughly enjoyed and one I will never forget.

My decision making process takes into consideration head, heart and also importantly, my gut feeling. This allows me to then compare my initial thoughts with those that area more thought out with the evidence I have around me, to then make the best overall decision.

I love learning! I like to grow my knowledge as much as possible and to be able to do that as part of my job, is a bonus to me.

My hero is Paula Radcliffe. A little different I know, but as a former runner myself, I took inspiration from her because, despite having little competition around her at the time she was competing, she was still so driven to achieve everything she has done, including holding the World Record for the fastest female marathon for 16 years, only having lost this title in late 2019.

I can’t live without sport. Whether it be playing water polo competitively or more recently due to lockdown, going for a run or a cycle to clear my head, sport has always played a major role in my life.
