Three minutes with Sarah Clark

Meet our Office Manager - the woman who keeps the Inspire KBB wheels turning and uses her first-hand industry experience to add value across the whole business.

When did you join Inspire KBB, and what made you want to work for them?

I’ve been with Inspire KBB from the word go. I was previously working for a kitchen retailer before joining the team, so I’d experienced first-hand how marketing can transform a business, and I wanted to fuse the two, so here I am!

Can you tell us more about your previous role?

I was working in the showroom of an owner-operated kitchen company.  It was a small business, which meant I did everything from the bookkeeping to dealing with suppliers and customers and everything in between! Oh, and I made my fair share of tea too!

What skills have you acquired from the various roles you've had and how do you use them at Inspire KBB?

I’ve had several roles over the years, from retail through to working in an office. So, I’d say that my main skills are pretty transferable – I’m patient, I love solving problems, and I don’t take anything too seriously; all of which stands me in good stead for working here!

What exactly is your role, and why do you enjoy it?

I’m the Office Manager & Bookkeeper, which means I do a bit (or a lot!) of everything. Along with the obvious - social media scheduling, business development support, HR & IT support – I assist with anything that contributes to the day to day running of the business and ensures we keep moving forward.

Why does Inspire KBB get great results for their clients again and again?

We have a great, friendly team, and we know how to get new customers for our clients. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about.

What’s the single most important thing kitchen businesses should be doing in their marketing?

Be consistent - if you can get to a place where you’re the first company people think of when they consider a new kitchen, bathroom or bedroom, you’ll generate more leads and make more sales, end of story. And that sort of positioning only comes with relentless, consistent marketing.

What’s your biggest pet peeve?

Selfishness. We all need to look after those around us – if everyone did that the world would be a much better place.

What’s your key tip for success?

Always strive to fulfil your potential. For me, there’s nothing like getting to the end of the day, knowing I’ve achieved exactly what I wanted to and made a difference. That’s what drives me on.
